AIH was conceived 20 years ago inside a small dental office one day. As a budding young Dental Hygienist I became frustrated at the lack of healing with my patients’ gum disease, I started to consult with outside alternative health sources for answers. I asked “Why do gums bleed?” “Why are the teeth cracking and getting grinded down?” “What is the root cause?” “What is the mouth and body connection?”

Thus, the marriage between Dental and Medical wellness was born!

It has been known for decades by the Medical profession since before the 1930’s that the mouth could not be unhealthy on its own without the body’s influence. Many ancient cultures have looked at tongues to diagnose illness inside the body or looked at the tongue for more information about over all body health.

A person interested in purchasing a horse would without fail check the horse’s mouth for the health of the animal. We humans are no different. So why do we have “mouth” insurance and “medical” insurance? Why not then “Ear” or “Nose” or “Eye” insurance? Why is the body so segmented in our communication among all Health Care Professionals?

For the first time in an educational setting aimed at Dental and all Healthcare professionals worldwide, I created WebAIH.com. This site is designed to be an educational integrative community to help educate the dental and medical community on the importance of using the mouth as the gateway of information about the inside of the body for more added on information gathering!

Located on this site will contain the latest wellness knowledge and technology - I bring to you Academy of Integrative Health. We will feature cutting edge presenters from all walks of life in wellness health.

My team and I strive to integrate health knowledge in expanding our information to help our patient’s health become balanced and well for a healthier lifestyle!
